Just for Life - Summer Camp
June 9-13, 2008 · Grades 1st - 5th (completed this year)
Our church is planning an exciting new opportunity for Christian growth that your children will want to share in.
Day Camp is offered by Lutheridge+Lutherock Ministries. Camp staff together with folks from our parish, will lead the experience. We will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. On Friday the week concludes at noon with a closing program for parents and friends.
The cost is FREE. Transportation will be provided as needed. Lunch and two snacks will be served during the day.

Peace Maker Softball
It's that time again, SOFTBALL SEASON, so don't forget to come out a cheer for our Peace Lutheran Peace Makers.

Thrivent-Lutheran Home Build
Thrivent-Lutheran Home Build official start is this Wednesday, February 8 at 8am with an Ash Wednesday service at the jobsite. Everyone is welcome to attend, and you will be able to receive ashes.
Directions to the jobsite from Slidell: Take 190 west passed Northshore Mall toward Lacombe. Turn left on Marc Drive just after Pontchartrain Marine (large white sign.)

Gardeners Needed

Quilting Group
The Quilting Ministry Group are "quilting" on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 12:30-2:00pm following Bible study.

Fellowship Coffee
There is a sign up sheet posted on the narthex bulletin board for people to bring snacks for coffee time after the worship service. If you are interested in providing snacks for fellowship time following our worship service, please sign up on the Ministry Opportunity bulletin board int he narthex.
Volunteers Needed for Wednesday Volunteer Community Meal
We still need volunteers each week to be responsible for bringing desserts and helping with the clean up.
If the Spirit is calling you, there is a sign up sheet posted on the narthex bulletin board.

Ministry Opportunities
Posted on the narthex Ministy Opportunity bulletin board, there are sign up sheets for assisting ministers, acolytes, lecors, altar care, ushers, clean up and laundry ministries. Please consider helping in one of these ministries.
Support Groups Offered
"Tea Time for Women"
Every Wednesday starting at 2:30 pm, this support group is for 40 & up, single, women on a fixed income looking for a support group to discuss post Katrina living.

"Where Y'at"
Where Y'at, will start for those who have moved from St. Bernard to St. Tammany Parish and may have lost contact with friends and neighbors.
This group will have time to talk, eat lunch, and play bingo so this should be a fun time for everyone. Talk support groups will be facilitated by Volunteers of American/Louisiana Spirt counselors; lunch and bingo will be provided by Peace.
Anyone who has moved from St. Bernard Parish is invited to attend.
